lamiae academy. lamiae : latin origin meaning vampire. [/font]
Welcome to Lamiae Academy, est. 1811. It is home to many of England's brightest young minds. Lamiae is a highly selective school, and only the richest and smartest get in. Only the richest and smartest humans, however...
Lamiae was originally created as a secret school for the young vampires of England, a place to learn the ways of being one of their kind. They were taught how to live among the humans ( they have now developed to the point where they can exist on raw meat alone ) among other things. All vampires were required to attend Lamiae during their teen years, the most vulnerable years of their lives.
But now, vampires aren't the only race attending Lamiae. Back in the 1940's, the prestigious academy was commanded by the government to accept more students than its usual 100 per class. You see, Lamiae was also the safest place in all of England. The Axis powers knew that these young vampires would grow up to be some of the most powerful people in the world. So, naturally, the richest human families in England demanded that their children be sent to for protection. And so, Lamiae became a mixed school.
To this day, the humans still do not know that they are attending school with an immortal race. It would be a very dark day were they ever to find out about the possibly deadly teen vampires attending Lamiae....
